More than 600 pages in three volumes, delivered in a few weeks: São Paulo’s Olympic Games bid dossier. Laika handled the editorial design and picture editing, working at the same time with the city’s municipal departments, the content team and the five architecture practices behind the plan, led by Paulo Mendes da Rocha.

The second volume brought together hundreds of architectural drawings (plans, sections and elevations) from the five practices. Adapting them to the dossier’s format and graphic language took an enormous standardisation effort.

In the end, São Paulo was not put forward: the Brazilian Olympic Committee chose Rio de Janeiro. But the dossier brought urban planning proposals for the banks of the Tietê and Pinheiros rivers into public debate.
